Father’s Day is right around the corner so make sure you get that Father’s Day gift lined up. We all know what happens to last-minute planning! It’s rushed and most often doesn’t go as planned.

Want to spoil your favorite family guy? You don’t have to drop a ton of dough in doing so. Especially if you’re a little low on funds this year! A little ingenuity, creativity and a few dollars can craft a high-quality gift for your main man.

We know how much these events can get inflated and the temptation to go all out and blow the budget is irresistible. But you can still show your dad some love without breaking the bank.  Here are 6 tips to celebrate your dad.

Make him breakfast in bed

Treat your dad to a nice long snooze, way past his usual wake-up time, followed by breakfast of his choice in bed. And serve it to him with a cuddle on the side. This should make him smile and wonder what he did to wake up on the right side of the bed.

Get family pictures done

Who doesn’t love a good photoshoot? But do you know what dad would love more? A family portrait framed and placed on his favorite spot on the wall. He will enjoy admiring it for years to come. So, if you have some extra money in your budget, get a picture blown up and framed.

Make a scrapbook of memories

Collect some pictures of Dad and you, some from over the years and some new and make them into a photo book. There are so many online photo book websites that will allow you to print directly from your phone.

This makes for a lovely and memorable Father’s Day gift. It will bring him joy and also some tears—happy tears of course.

Make him a coupon book

Dads love coupons. A coupon book is a gift that keeps giving non-stop. Your dad will love the thought that went into making a book that is more like a ticket to spending more time with him.

Watch sports together

There’s nothing that gets fathers more excited than sports. If you’re on a tight budget, kick back on the couch and watch TV with him. Give him some company while he’s watching baseball. This is something he’ll remember for years to come. To him, this will always be a gift.

Go on a cheap day out

Experience over things is always a key to celebrating special days. A day outing normally adds up expenses, but there are lots of free and inexpensive things you can do to have a fun day with dad. Remember time is valuable. What makes Father’s Day special, is giving your dad your time. It’s the best thing you can give him. Take him out for the day and do something with him that you normally don’t have time to do, like fishing or playing golf.

If the budget allows, pop into a pub garden afterward for a refreshment in the garden.
