Neither a sequel nor a reboot of 2016’s ‘Suicide Squad’ — the original film grossed nearly $750 million worldwide. The new R-rated film matches the original in ticket sales.
Margot Robbie reprises her role in ‘Suicide Squad’. Robbie who plays Harley Quinn is one of the few cast members to reprise James Gunn’s soft reboot of the property.
The Aussie actress recently even attended the premiere of the ‘Suicide Squad’ and has a net worth of $26 million. Here’s where she makes her millions:
Thanks to a whole bunch of brilliant performances in films, Robbie received considerable praise from critics and has been nominated for several awards.
Her real breakthrough came when she starred opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese’s ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’. The film earned a solid $392 million at the box office. Robbie was also singled out for praise, with her accurate Brooklyn accent impressions.
Brands she endorses
Robbie supplemented her acting income with a range of brand endorsements. Back in 2016, she became the face of Calvin Klein’s Deep Euphoria fragrance.
She endorsed Nissan’s line of electric vehicles. Later in 2018, she became the brand ambassador for Chanel. After working with them extensively for 2 years she became the face of their fragrance, Chanel Gabrielle Essence.
How she spends her millions
Robbie is an active player in the real estate market since Hollywood happened. In 2017, she purchased a property in Hancock Park, Los Angeles. The low 3,300-square-foot property cost her $2.73 million and features a wine cellar, a pool, a private balcony with a room dedicated to Margot’s new puppy.
In 2018 Robbie paid $950,000 for an LA home. She later listed this property for sale for $1.2 million.
Robbie even paid $1.8 million for a gated duplex that gracefully sits along Australia’s beautiful Gold Coast.
Robbie splurged on a second home paying $5 million for a compound in another quiet deal. The compound contains three separate structures and has been described as “fortress-like.” It features a grassy lawn and a pool with plenty of privacy. In addition, Robbie even owns a 1,000-square-foot investment home in Hollywood Hills that she leases out for passive income. Smart move!
The charity she supports
The ‘Suicide Squad’ star was given the inaugural RAD Impact Award and has chosen to share the prize with the non-profit organization Youngcare. The organization builds specialist disability accommodation for young people with disabilities giving them a chance to live independently with the right care and support.
Robbie worked with Youngcare to offer free support lines and provide grants for young Australians with disabilities
